A Fishy Job
Do you enjoy your job? Have you ever thought about changing career? As (1) as you
start thinking about doing something more exciting or challenging, you’ll realise that you don’t have to
look (2) before you find some strange occupations you never knew existed.

Take Julie Booker, for example. Her job is to count fish. She does this from June (3) October,
counting fish every ten minutes, sometimes finishing (4) one in the morning. She works at
the Ballard Docks, which is located (5) Puget Sound and Lake Washington in Seattle. The
point of this is to (6) sure that the number (7) fish is regulated and that
overfishing doesn’t occur.

Julie needs to have good (8) for her work. During her busiest times, she counts two kinds of
fish at the same time – sockeye and chinook. The largest number of sockeye she has counted in ten minutes is
an incredible 450 and for chinook this number is 75! On top of this, there’s an added (9) –a
