Student Teacher (1 ½ month – 4th Field Experience McGill) 2021
Kells Academy, Montreal, QC Taught Grades 9, 10, 11, with cooperating teachers full workload for each of those classes Created and implemented a variety of lesson plans in accordance to student required objectives, such as writing literary essays, a synthesis, oral presentation assignments, etc. Lesson plans created ranged from creative novel studies such as the bestselling book on police brutality titled “The Hate U Give”, and YA hits such as “The Darkest Minds”, to speech competition units run by the QAIS. Many students had IEP’s, therefore I was responsible for incorporating strategies for differentiation, as well as accommodating their needs in the classroom. In charge of communication with parents directly through email to update them on their children, to ensure homework assignments were being submitted, and any other relevant information.
