CAREER RELATED EXPERIENCE

Student Teacher (1 ½ month – 4th Field Experience McGill) 2021


Kells Academy, Montreal, QC
 Taught Grades 9, 10, 11, with cooperating teachers full workload for each of those classes
 Created and implemented a variety of lesson plans in accordance to student required objectives, such as
writing literary essays, a synthesis, oral presentation assignments, etc.
 Lesson plans created ranged from creative novel studies such as the bestselling book on police brutality
titled “The Hate U Give”, and YA hits such as “The Darkest Minds”, to speech competition units run by
the QAIS.
 Many students had IEP’s, therefore I was responsible for incorporating strategies for differentiation, as
well as accommodating their needs in the classroom.
 In charge of communication with parents directly through email to update them on their children, to
ensure homework assignments were being submitted, and any other relevant information.

English Teacher/Tutor 2020


Centre Communautaire Laurentien, Montreal, QC
• Teach basic grade 1 level English to ESL students of differing ages, who are just starting to learn English
• Main tasks include: Reading books to students, explaining words and concepts that are unfamiliar to them
