PERMUTATIONS AGAIN
As in the Beginner section, we’ll be using permutations
of the three notes in 3-note-per-string scale patterns.
This enables us to create a range of hammer-on/pull-
off patterns for practice purposes. To remind you how
it works, here’s the diagram again. I’m using a root-
position G major scale here, but any scale pattern would
work; you simply assign the numbers 1-2-3 to the three
notes on each string and then create permutations of
those three notes.
