Procedure to run sands PCTERM.exe under DOSBOX0.

in windows 8 and windows 7 64bit PC'S

1. Install DOSBOX0.74

a) Double click on the "DOSBox0.74-win32-installer.exe" icon.

b) The following screen will appear. Click on "Next" .

c) Then the following screen will appear. Click on "Next"

d) Then the following screen will appear. Click on "Install".

e) Then the following screen will appear. The Installation was Completed now.
Click on "Close".
2. Install DOSBOX0.74

a) Double click on INSTALL PCTERM.bat file. Then dosbox-0.74.conf file will open.

b) Under [serial] option present inside the dosbox-0.74.conf file refer the following
screen and you can able to see the following lines.

◦ serial1=dummy

◦ serial2=dummy

◦ serial3=disabled
 ◦ serial4=disabled

c) Edit the following lines like below:

◦ serial1=directserial realport:com1

◦ serial2=dummy

◦ serial3=disabled

◦ serial4=disabled

d) Scroll down and at the end of dosbox-0.74.conf file(i.e after this line "# You can
put your MOUNT lines here.") add the following lines and then save it and close
it. Refer the screen below.

◦ mount C C:\SANDS
 ◦ C:\

◦ PCTERM.exe

◦ cls

e) Double click on "PCTERM.bat" file in your desktop icon.

f) The PCTERM software will get open and now connect CMRI with your PC using
COM cable and start use the PCTERM software.
Note: If any wrong values (ie: other than COM1 or COM2) on COM port settings the
PCTERM software will not work properly. Please provide correct comport number while
installing the PCTERM software ( COM1 or COM2 ).

◦ To Know the current detected com port number or to change the com port
number, kindly check the WINDOWS – DEVICE MANAGER – PORTS
(COM&LPT) options.
