Week #8

This week was somewhat uneventful compared to some previous weeks I have had at this

internship. I will say that it was better emotionally than the previous week was for me. Overall, I

did have a good, albeit somewhat unproductive week.

Since Monday had no classes for students, my internship supervisor gave us the day off,

which was really nice. However, I had even more revisions to make to my script and my team

leader had asked me to turn it in by Monday, and since I had no time to myself to work on it over

the weekend, I used a few hours on Monday to work on it. My team leader seemed pleased with

the revisions since I used the feedback they gave me to better my script. I am still awaiting script

approval from one of the Women’s Center and LGBTQ+ Programs supervisors before we can

begin filming any of our videos. It has taken longer than I expected to start filming for our video

library, which has been a little discouraging, but at the same time I think it is sort of good in a

way to help me manage expectations and be more realistic as far as setting goals for projects

such as this. I think at the beginning of the semester I expected to be filming much sooner and

making several videos, but its better to learn what is feasible in our time frame now than in the

future by biting off more than I can chew.

The rest of the week was still rather uneventful. There is a Bisexual+ event coming up

this week so a lot of other interns and staff members had their energy devoted to that, which is

understandable. My Sexual Assault Awareness Month group and I are getting more things

planned for April since we will have a handful of events coming up, but as the marketing person

I do need to wait a little closer to the events to market on our social media and GC Connect

pages. Overall it was a decent week, and nothing all that stressful happened this week, but

neither did anything too productive, which is okay for this week I suppose.
