1. Opening prayer
Let us all remember that we are in the most Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Lord God,
You came to give honor to the least, those forgotten, overlooked and misjudged.
You came to give first place to the last, those left behind, misunderstood and undervalued.
You came to give a warm welcome to the lost, those who are orphaned, abandoned and destitute.
You came for the least, the lost and last of this world. Lord, hear our prayer. Amen.
2. Lesson proper

I put that we need to have a clean government first
because if our leader is still corrupt or not doing what
he or she is supposed to we will not get any progress in
our country even if all the people are educated.
St. John Baptist de La Salle was born into a world very different
from our own. He was the first son of wealthy parents living in
Though he had to assume the administration of family affairs after his parents died, he completed his theological
studies and was ordained a priest on April 9, 1678.Two years later he received a doctorate in theology.
Meanwhile, he became tentatively involved with a group of rough and barely literate young men in order to
establish schools for poor boys.
At that time a few people lived in luxury, but most of the people were extremely poor: peasants in the country, and
slum dwellers in the towns.
Only, a few could send their children to school; most children had little hope for the future. Moved by the
plight of the poor who seemed so “far from salvation” either in this world or the next, he determined to put
his own talents and advanced education at the service of the children “often left to themselves and badly
brought up.”
To be more effective, he abandoned his family home, moved in with the teachers, renounced his position
as Canon and his wealth, and so formed the community that became known as the Brothers of the
Christian Schools.

REFLECTION:
Read and reflect on these quotes. What are these trying to tell you?
Answer:
I think what this quote is trying to say is that we
should help people in need, feed people that don’t
have anything to eat, love the animals that surround
us, take care of our elders, respect our parents, and
live life more but still keeping in mind the things that
we should not forget.
To be able to show your concern to the marginalized sector of our society, you need to understand their
situation in life, their struggles, and their way of life. You need to know their challenges and how they
overcome them. Sometimes wearing their shoes, you would be able to understand their different
situations.
After understanding their way of life, you may share with them some experiences in your life that you feel
you are somewhat the same. You may also share that sometimes you have to endure some painful
experiences that test your faith in yourself, in others and in God. The important thing is you both
understand each other’s life experiences.
Answer:
A simple act of kindness goes a long way. You don’t earn money or anything else by doing something
kind but what you will get is the outcome of what you’ve done and the joy in the faces of people and
animals that you help, someday it will all come back to you. Don’t expect to get anything after you do
something good but hope that someday it will all pay off, as my favorite youtuber said “pay it forward”
meaning if someone helps you just remember to “pay it forward”.
Answer:
Yes, I am very capable of doing random acts of kindness like when someone drops or forgets their things,
I can help give it back to them or like when someone needs another set of hands to help carry their
things like groceries.
Write a prayer for the marginalized members of our community, especially for the victims of the Super
Typhoon Rolly and Typhoon Ulysses.
Using Canva, PicsArt, or any editing applications that you are familiar with, create a poster with a drawing
or composite of images that will express your feeling of compassion about the plight of the marginalized.
