Auto-Biography:

As we know a human starts to remember things after the age of 3-5 years, that’s why we send
our children at this age to schools and tuitions. Likewise, my parents sent to “Happy Homes
School” which was a renowned school of its time. The school was quite far away from our
home. I still remember that the school bus came to pick us up before Fajr and me and my
brother were the first ones in the bus. My parents soon realized that 4-5 hours were wasted
daily in the trips from home to school and back. Then in accordance to my parent’s wish I got
admission in “Islamia Govt. Primary School” which was at a walking distance from my home.
Before transferring my school, my parents studied the course content of both the schools and
found that the level of education in public and private sector was almost the same. By that
time, I can say that my true early education had started. I still remember the first day of my
school very well, I was very excited but on the other hand my younger brother was crying. I
made a lot of friends in that age and I am still friends with most of them, some of my friends
became doctors, some became engineers while some preferred to do business. My teachers
always motivated me to strive for the best and always encouraged me to believe that I can do
anything I put my mind to. Due to their untiring efforts, I was able to read and write English and
Urdu when I was in 5th standard. I give my utmost respect to my teachers who taught me when I
did not know anything at all. For Secondary school education I took admission in “Govt. Delhi
Boys Secondary School” which was at least 4-5 Kilometers from my home. I used public
transport to go to school and the transportation fee was 10 paisa for each side. Here I also
made a lot of friends, the teachers here were a bit more professional and tried to give
individual attention to the students. They had the class divided in different groups from A-D,
according to the caliber of the student, which enabled the students to work hard accordingly.
As a result, all the students in each group were almost on the same page and ready to get
higher secondary knowledge. As I moved from school to college, I was faced with certain
challenges all the lecturers focused only on their lecture. Even though the teachers had very
good command on their respective subjects. The teachers tried to solve our problems by
inviting us to the staff room. I did not get good enough marks to get admission in universities
like NED. Therefore, I got admission in BSc. Physics and secured good marks in it. In Bsc I only
made three friends that also went to college with me.

Now, my dream finally came to fruition when I saw my name on the last merit list of applied
Physics. The journey of masters was not more than two years. The atmosphere of university
was very different. Nobody asked me when I came to the campus and what I wore. There was
no concept of tuitions in masters so all of the students got together to solve each other’s
problems and the teachers also helped us out in this regard. We learnt so much in these 2 years
that we had no idea about in the previous 14 years of our study. We were polished and were
ready to face the world in any profession we were going to land in. I also got my first job as a
bio-medical engineer. After 2 years I changed my profession and dived into the business side.
There I suffered a huge loss. Meanwhile, I saw an advertisement for HST, where I applied and
passed the criteria and was selected. After 5 years I got my SS in physics. After a long gap of 18
years, I was promoted to the designation of Assistant professor. During my 25 years long
journey I have done a lot of work for my students and for the district office. For example: A
science competition was held by private and government schools where I enrolled my students
and helped them to prepare for the event and Alhamdullilah, we got the first prize in that
event, also I organized a science exhibition on district level where I was the convener of this
grand event and similarly, I provided students with many more opportunities to exhibit their
talents.
Nowadays I have started a 5 years long project where I have selected a batch of 25 students of
class 6th who I am teaching privately and my aim is that when these students reach class 10 th,
they should be able to secure A-1 positions easily. These students are currently in class 8 th. The
purpose of this effort is to show that the system is at fault not the students, and the students
from government schools can also secure positions and A-1 grades in board exams. I pray that I
succeed in this mission of mine (Ameen).
