Business Communications 2200 – ePortfolio Reflection

This group project was the final culmination of the class and I’ve got to say it was the most relevant and
honestly fun group project I’ve had in years I’ve been pursuing my degree from SLCC, which is currently
going on 6 years due to taking the very slow road to completing this. But I’m very happy to say that this
semester is my last as I will graduate in Spring 2021.

Now completing a task such as this group project in the midst of a global pandemic didn’t make it
naturally fun or by any means easy. But thanks to text, email, zoom and google drive. Me and my group
were able to stay in touch, communicate our vision for the project and showcase our progress each step
of the way. Which to have coordinated 3 people making 4 communications pieces all designed around
one common theme and business would have been a challenge under most any circumstance.

But having done this through Covid, using various communication methods to develop several more
communication methods and work with a couple people you’ve never met in person only helped to
showcase the teamwork and versatility that I feel this class was geared to show us. I wouldn’t wish
covid on the world a second time but if every class had to do their project like we did I think everyone
would be better co-workers and communicators for it.

A special thanks to our professor, Lon Schiffbauer, for the amazing work he did to provide course
material that made each week informative and actually, fun. I had one week that I was actively and
eagerly seeking to watch the next section of video solely because it was so engaging that you never felt
like it was homework. Hats off to you!
