1. Role discussion
• Leader
The leader is Rebecca. She is the facilitator in the group discussion that giving the
rules and topic to the participant, she have to make sure sure that everyone
participates and that no one dominates, encourages the development and expression
of all ideas, including “odd” ones, and safeguards an open process, where there are
no foregone conclusions and everyone’s ideas are respected either it’s agree about
online class more effective or choose the ordinary class as the better
one. Facilitators are non-directive, and try to keep themselves out of the discussion,
except to ask questions or make statements that advance it.
• Participant
Adam is one of the group participant who is agree that online class is more effective
for him because the online class has a flexible time to study with good manajemen
in environment because it’s not in the class so it’s quite enough to focus in study
and nobody’s gonna disturb

Alex is a participant who’s disagree to study online. He said that ordinary class can
motivate you to be better. In class there are other student and teacher who’s gonna
motivate you to study but when you choose online class it means you have to
motivate your self, And he said When we start online class and then we start to
search the material we want to study in the internet, we actually don’t know is it
valid or not so ordinary class is a better way because it present a professional
teacher to you

Roney is one of the group participant who is agree to adam’s statement. She said
that not everyone have enough money and resource to study especially in a big
school, And then when we get bored while study we can search on the internet to
resolve it
 James is participant who’s agree to Alex’s statement. He said that we need ordinary
class because we have to build an interaction to other people and we can’t get it
while we are doin online class.

At the end of the discussion they are agree that actually online and ordinary class
will help everyone

2. Technical implementation for group discussion

• Setting the topic. If the group is meeting to discuss a specific issue or to plan
something, the discussion topic is already set. If the topic is unclear, then someone
needs to help the group define it.
• Open while discussion process. Nurturing the open process means paying attention
to the process, content, and interpersonal dynamics of the discussion all at the same
time – not a simple matter. Make sure that the group chooses an appropriate topic
that meets its needs, that there are no “right” answers to start with (no foregone
conclusions), that no one person or small group dominates the discussion, that
everyone follows the ground rules, that discussion is civil and organized, and that
all ideas are subjected to careful critical analysis.
• At the start of the discussion, the group can determine what can be expected from
the results of the discussion, and can break the topic into sub-topics to be researched
before
• Group discussions must be well prepared, resource persons, key questions and
appropriate materials are needed to organize the course of the discussion, and then
find out the sollution
• While preparing for discussion, the size of the group is first determined.
