8) Ms. Marmalady obliges herself to immediately deliver a dozen ballpens to
Cricket. Cricket on the other hand also has the obligation to deliver a
dozen ballpens to Ms. Marmalady, which oblgiation had already become
due. The ballpens are exactly the same and of the same kind and quaity.
In such case, there can be no compensation since the two obligations are
not monetary in nature.
9) Compensation can take place automatically or by operation of law.
10) If a person should have against him several debts which are
susceptible of compensation, the pertinent provisions on the application of
payments shall apply in case of compensation.
