On Sunday 10 April 2016 during the film Jango there was three complaints made for a horror advert
that was aired during the break of the film. The advert was taken from the scene where there was a
voice over saying “Good morning Los Angeles. Hope you got your flu shot. Reports that a strange
virus is going around. If you’re not feeling well go home and take care of yourself.” There was image
of zombies, police, ambulance sirens and people in bio hazard suit. The main issues were that there
were children that was inn distressed by the ad and that it was very inappropriate ad to be aired
during a child film. The scheduling of the ad breached BCAP code rules 5.1 and 32.1. ASA told
channel 4 that the ads which were suitable for older children but could distress for younger children
and to take that into consideration in future.
