EXAMPLE OF IMAGE MANIPULATION
• an digital blemish removal is any type of mark, spot, flaw or discoloration that appears
on the skin. In Photoshop there are a couple tools that could be used but there are mainly
only three. The main three are dodge, burn and spot healing tool. The first two tools are
used to lighten or darken areas that are used in the image. These tool are based on the
darkroom technique that was used to exposed specific areas of a print so on the digital
photo it has the same effect that can be done on the application. Dodging is when you
lighten an area and burning is making an area darker. The spot healing tool is as tool that
is used to removed spots and remove blemish on the face.
DIGITAL BLEMISH REMOVAL
• Colour correction is simply to balance out the colour in the image. This mean removing a
colour cast from the image or bringing out colours to have more definition and vibrancy.
This technique is easy and very fast. For example in the fil Marianne the night scenes
was filmed in the day light because it was cheaper however with the colour correction
techniques it made it easier to make it look like a night sky. This is so they could create
the mood and style for the film
