Cutting

Cut (1) 9” x 9” square
Cut (6) 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” squares

Cut (2) 8-1/2” x 8-1/2” squares once on the diagonal into
(4) triangles to create the outer corners
Cut 1-1/2” wide strips that will border the center square

Cut (8) 3-1/2” x 13” strips

Cut (4) 3-1/2” x 13” strips

This pattern was designed using an accurate 1/4” seam.


Construction
1. Sew a 1-1/2” strip of the Dark Green Print to top 5. Follow the diagram below (Fig. 1) to assemble
and bottom of each side of the 9” Cream Floral the pieces and sections in order as numbered.

the narrow border around the center block.

6. The diagram below (Fig. 2) shows all of the


completed piecing. The dashed lines show where
to trim off the excess to square up the runner.

3. Sew (4) of the 3-1/2” Cream Floral squares to (4)


of the 3-1/2” x 13” Red Floral strips.

4. Sew (2) of the 3-1/2” Cream Floral squares to (2)
of the 3-1/2” x 13” Light Green strips.

7. Layer together with batting and backing and


quilt as desired. Sew on the binding and a label
to complete.
