Cutting Directions
From EACH green and yellow plaid:
• 20 squares 4” x 4”, cut in half diagonally to make
40 half square triangles (see diagram)
From tan floral:
• 40 squares 4” x 4”, cut in half diagonally to make 80
half square triangles (see diagram)
From EACH blue and pink plaid:
• 20 squares 5 ¼” x 5 ¼”, cut in half diagonally to
make 40 half square triangles (see diagram)
From EACH small blue and yellow floral:
• 20 strips 2” x 9 ¼”
• 20 strips 2” x 12 ¼”
From pink floral sashing:
• 15 strips 1 ½” x 10 ½”
• 4 strips 1 ½ “ x 43 ½” (you will need to piece this
from two strips)
• 2 strips 1 ½” x 45 ½” (you will need to piece this
from two strips)
• 2 strips 1 ½” x 54 ½” (you will need to piece this
from two strips)
From large floral border:
• 2 strips 4 ½” x 53 ½” (you will need to piece this
from two strips)
• 2 strips 4 ½” x 56 ½” (you will need to piece this
from two strips)
Sewing Directions
4. Sew a blue floral strip 2”x 9 ¼”to opposite sides
of 10 blocks. Press towards strip. Sew the other
blue floral strips 2” x 12 ¼” to the top and bottom
of the block. Press towards strip. See below.
5. Sew a yellow floral strip 2” x 9 ¼” to opposite sides
of the remaining 10 blocks. Press towards strip. Sew
the other yellow floral strips 2” x 12 ¼” to the top
and bottom of the block. Press towards strip. See
below.

6. Position a large square acrylic ruler over the blue
floral blocks so 10 ½” perpendicular lines on
ruler are within pieced square and the other 2 edges
of the 10 ½” square are within the pieced square.
Trim 2 sides of the block. Rotate ruler, aligning 14”
with cut edges, and trim the remaining 2 edges.
(NOTE: ALLOW FOR ¼” SEAM ALLOWANCES)

1. Sew 40 green and 40 yellow half square triangles to
the tan floral half square triangles as shown. Press
towards green/yellow.
2. Sew each yellow/tan floral to a pink triangle to make
40 squares. Sew each green/tan floral to a blue tri-
angle to make 40 squares.

7. Trim the remaining yellow floral blocks in the same

manner, but reverse the orientation of the ruler (or

3. Sew block sets together as shown to make 20 blocks.

 8. Sew 5 rows using 4 blocks and 3 pink floral 1 ½”
sashing strips as shown in the diagram below. Press
towards strip.

9. Sew rows together with the 43 ½” strips. Alternating

rows.
10. Sew the 54 ½” strips to either side. Press towards Finished Size: Approx. 54”x65”
strip and trim if necessary.
11. Sew the 45 ½” strips to the top and bottom. Press
towards strip and trim if necessary.
12. Sew 56 ½” large floral strip to the sides. Press to
wards strip and trim if necessary.
13. Sew 53 ½” large floral strip to top and bottom. Press
towards strip and trim if necessary.
14. Layer, baste and quilt as desired. Bind in remaining
pink floral.
