In five sentences only, write a reflection on the importance and applications of
authentic assessment to the teaching and learning process.

This assessment has an important role in education and it has a critical role in the teaching and

learning process. Through authentic assessment, it helps students to see themselves as active
participants, who are working on a task of relevance, and also It helps teachers by encouraging
them to reflect on the relevance of what they teach and provides results that are useful for
improving instruction.
As we all know, there are so many different kinds and types of assessment so, why should
educators use authentic assessments? Because this assessments help students analyze what
they've learned and apply it their own experience, they don't have to memorize facts for a test,
so they can use their creativity to show what they've learned. In short, it  is a great way for
students to really showcase talents and knowledge. Compare to others , this assessment is very
important when it comes to teaching and learning process, as the application of authentic
assessment is an effective way to teach and assess as it sets students up for success as well
as being engaging and physically involves the students and it gives meaning to assessment
tasks and students are learning skills in real life contexts which are used in the real world and
ensures student success.
