Part 3: A Manifesto--the Course Reflection

From the beginning of the course, I wasn’t sure what to expect when it comes to a
humanity course, having experience two prior ones. I was unsure if they would be similar
or different. Comparing to previous ones that were more focus in readings and videos.
Unlike this course I was truly able to engage with class. In this course I did learn to
reflect on the opinions and thoughts of other people. To learn how to listen and how to
put my own wordings in an appropriate thought. Its not always easy when it comes to
topics involving discrimination, religion, and past historical issues. My manifesto from
this course would be to learn more about others religion and personally be able to
interact with the belief as a learning experience, in a respectful way of course. I
personally do not belief in religion, but I do value honesty as an ideal to me. One way
honesty aligns with a social issue would be climate change. Having major companies lie
to the community in what they are actually dropping into the ocean or such things like
that. One way I can challenge myself is with addressing the issue in hand in the sense
that I would be able to spread the word to my fellow friends and family in order to get
the issue notice so major companies that are dropping waste can do better for our
community. Along with improving on my carbon footprint, and how I dispose of my
garbage. I personally would like to better in properly recycle waste and limit on how
much garbage I am producing individually. Hoping to see the change in the humanity in
how we treat each other along with seeing if we can better improve on how, we treat
our planet.
