Writing Studies

Since I started school, I have always remembered being the student who would gravitate

towards the arts, whether that was English, painting, singing, or even dancing. As I grew older, I

knew I wanted to do something in English. This class has opened my eyes to the more technical

side of English, like how to teach it, how to grade it, even how to read it. Writing has been a

great part in my identity, and I am glad that students and teachers around the world are

constantly challenging what writing is and what it should be. It has allowed the space to become

welcoming to all and heard by all. Wrapping up this semester, I feel bittersweet. I hope I can

continue having these conversations with fellow English majors during my undergrad program.
