• The images formed by a magnifying glass, in a lens
camera and human eye are formed by converging
lenses.
• If an object is very close to a converging lens, the
image formed by a lens will be virtual, upright and
magnified. Images formed by the magnifying glass
are formed in this way.
• When an object is placed in front of the lens at a
distance of more than one focal length, the image
formed will be real and inverted .Images formed in
the human eye and a lens camera are formed in this
way.
A lens Camera
• The converging lens in a lens camera forms
real and inverted images on a light sensitive
film.
• Sharp images of objects at different distances
are formed on the film by adjusting the image
distance( the distance between the image and
the centre of the lens).he
