LEARNING ACTIVITY 2 EVIDENCE: SPEAK YOUR MIND

1.A political system is optimal not because it produces the policies that you prefer.
It produces the policies that much smarter people prefer.
I do not agree. A political system is optimal when it produces policies that everyone
needs no matter what they prefer. On the other hand, the policies that benefit a
people are the product of the work of academically prepared people who use their
knowledge to discover the needs of a people. Taking into account the
aforementioned, I believe that there is no "ideal" political system and all the political
systems seen by humanity have always had failures and do not comply with the
proposed.

2. The ideal system depends on the cultural attributes of the population.

The ideal system has to protect the culture, religion and needs of the people to
make decisions. However, the objective has to be the main characteristic of an
ideal system so that things like religion, culture and needs are not so important in
decision making.

3. Individuals should be admitted to schools and hired for jobs based on their
ability.

Everyone's right to education and work must be preserved regardless of their

ability or any other condition. Everyone should be welcome to schools and have
the opportunity to apply for decent work and according to their profile; Such
conditions allow and promote discrimination and tear our society from its own
bases.

4. Unlike the private sector, the government is motivated by public interest.

This is the ideal statement for a democratic nation, however, what we see and live
in a diary is a very different scene; Every day we notice that senators, presidents,
mayors and others who hold political positions are being jailed for corruption, theft
of funds and many other problems caused by their own selfishness, ambition and
the desire to have a lot of power.
5. Taxes allow the government to create jobs and provide welfare programs for
people in need.
That’s right, taxes are annoying but necessary. Governments are continually
searching for additional funds to pay for the needs of their citizens, businesses,
and bureaucrats. At the local level, taxes support spending for schools roads,
libraries, athletic facilities, fire and police services, and the salaries of county and
municipal employees.

6. Governmental programs encourage people to become dependent and lazy

instead of inspiring them to become hard-working and independent.

The ones that the government offers us do not encourage people to become
dependent and lazy, but a badly designed and badly oriented program.
Government programs must have conditions and requirements to ensure the
effectiveness of the assistance provided. Programs that provide financial aid more
or less without any requirement make no sense.
