Present Perfect
O Present Perfect é usado para ações ou acontecimentos do passado que têm uma

relação com o presente. Forma:

Subject (Noun or Subject Pronoun) + has or have + past participle

Exemplos:

I have been (I’ve been)

She has eaten (She’s eaten)

He has driven (He’s driven)

We have chosen (We’ve chosen)


Não usamos o Present Perfect se não estamos pensando no presente. Nós normalmente o
utilizamos para anunciar notícias ou eventos recentes.
Exemplos:
Andy has won a big prize!
Have you heard? Uncle George has crashed the car again.
Here are the main points of the news. The pound has fallen against the dollar. The Prime Minister
has said that the government’s economic policies are working. The number of unemployed has
reached 5 million. There has been a fire...
Depois de anunciar a notícia, nós normalmente usamos o Simple Past para dar mais detalhes.
Exemplos:
Uncle George has crashed the car again. He ran into a tree in High Street.
Quando falamos sobre eventos concluídos com palavras que significam "em algum / qualquer
momento até agora" (como ever, before, never, yet, recently, lately, already), nós normalmente
usamos o Present Perfect.
Exemplos:
Have you ever seen a ghost?
I'm sure we’ve met before.
We haven't seen Beth recently.
Could you clean the car? I've already done it.
She's never said sorry in her life.
Has the postman come yet?
Podemos usar o Present Perfect para dizer que algo aconteceu várias vezes até o presente.
Exemplos:
I've written 6 letters since lunchtime.
Advérbios de frequência como often, sometimes, occasionally são comuns com o Present
Perfect.
Exemplos:
How often have you been in love in your life?
I've sometimes thought of moving to Australia.
Present Perfect Progressive ou Continuous
O Present Perfect Progressive ou Continuous é usado para ações ou acontecimentos estavam

acontecendo no passado e têm uma relação com o presente. Forma:

Subject (Noun or Subject Pronoun) + has or have + been + verb in the gerund (-ing)

Exemplos:
You have been waiting here for two hours. /You haven't been waiting here for two hours.
Have you been waiting here for two hours?
Recently, I have been feeling really tired.
She has been watching too much television lately.
Have you been exercising lately?
Mary has been feeling a little depressed.
Lisa hasn't been practising her English.
