Nikolle: Well, I investigated some aspects about the route between Bogota and
Barranquilla, according with the information that I found, the distance is 996
kilometers and the time could be 15 hours and a half.
Jessica: Excuse me Nikolle, do you know something about the cost or the possible
amount?
Nikolle: Yes, I considered gasoline expenses, tolls and some additional costs
Jessica: Fantastic, these factors are really important to make our decision, please

Nikolle: According to the calculations, 136 gallons of gasoline are needed, each of
them has a cost of 9.514 pesos, in total it would be approximately 1.233.000
pesos. On the other hand, tolls have a cost of 316.400 and also we have to keep in
mind the additional expenses that we could be have, in this case I think that could
be around 3.170.000.

Tania: According with all that you told us, your option is cheaper that mine, but

Jessica: Well, from Medellin to Barranquilla there are 699 kilometers, during this
distance we need around 95 gallons of gasoline, the total cost is 896.000 because
each of them has a cost of 9.400, the other costs will be: first, the tolls by 180.800
and second, additional expenses amounting to 2.576.000, and of course another
important factor is the time, in this case could be 13 hours.

Tania: So, the city is Cali, the trip lasts around 20 hours because in this case the
distance is greater, there are 1.246 kilometers for that reason we need more
gallons of gasoline, to be specific we need 170 gallons, this amount has a cost of
1.617.000, also, to pay the tolls we need 406.000 and of course we have to keep in
mind the additional expenses that in this case could be 3.963.000 and well,
according with all this information, I think that the best option for us is Medellin, I
don’t know if you are agree or if you have another possibility.
