Learning Outcome 1:

I am able to have an understanding of the different conflicts that the US and Mexico had to go
through. Many of the points discussed in class were facts that I have never learned before. But it
was interesting to learn both sides of history and how much oppression happened and unjustiful
choices made towards Mexico regarding their previous land. History always has two sides to the
story. Many of the times it is glamorized.

Learning Outcome 2:
I was able to interpret the graphs provided through class on the growth of the hispanic population
in the US. And learning about a prediction of the hispanic population doubling by the end of
2050. I was also able to identify different norms that each hispanic household believes in for
each member in the family. I was also able to understand how much the Hispanic population has
contributed to society. Many different inventions for different purposes.

Learning Outcome 3:
I learned how art has a big part of culture. It allows for people to get an idea across. Essentially
to be able to communicate to others a story, a problem or even a solution. The shapes and colors
have a big significance. A lot of symbolism can be used.

Learning Outcome 4

I liked learning about others' thoughts and thinking process. Even though I didn't agree with
some I was able to respect their thoughts and options without unnecessary remarks or signs of
disrespect. I did enjoy being able to listen to points that I myself would have not thought of on
my own. That is the good part of having in class discussion we learn from each other and out
different experiences.
