CREATING 3D LOGO

TUTORIAL
To learn how to make the 3D logo used by other upcycling brands that I came across in
my research, I had found a Tik-Tok tutorial on the left which taught me how to make a
rotating 3d logo using after effects, a program that I am new to

Steps to follow:
• Import illustration into After Effects.
• Right click and convert shapes from vector layer
• Click 3D box on the layer
• Adjust Y rotation to 90 and adjust extrusion depth to your preference
• Click pan behind tool and drag the centre arrow in
• Change Y rotation back to 0 and keyframe it at the start to finish on a keyframe of
10 rotations (or your preference) at the end
• Add a new light layer, adjusting its intensity and positioning to your preference

CREATING MY LOGO
Following the steps above, I created my own 3D lettermark logo. I spent some time adjusting the depth,
rotation values and lighting intensity and positioning until I was pleased with it (I attempted to cast the lighting
from directly above to get strong shadows to replicate noir lighting)
