CRITERIA
Academic degrees or diplomas, or
relevant certificates held by an applicant.
Documented relevant work or volunteer
experience in Health care within the last 3
years. Minimum of 100 hours for volunteer
experience.
Grade Point Average in relevant course
work
Those with baccalaureate degrees from
regionally accredited institutions, shall
only be required to complete science
prerequisites and nursing major
coursework. They shall not be required to
complete any other general education
required for an Associate’s Degree.*If this
applies to you, speak with a counselor
immediately for educational planning.
Life experience or special circumstances of
an applicant, including but not necessarily
limited to the following:
a. Veteran or active military status
(including spouse)
b. Disabilities
c. Low Family Income
d. First generation of family to
attend college
e. Need to Work during prerequisites
f. Disadvantages, social or
educational environment
g. Difficult personal and family
situations or circumstances
h. Refugee
Documented proficiency or advanced level
of coursework in languages other than
English. Credit for languages other than
English shall be received for languages that
are identified by the Chancellor’s Office.
