The line graph illustrates how much fish and three types of meat including chicken, beef and
lamb are consumed in grams person a specific country in Europe from 1979 to 2004.
Overall, while the consumption of chicken tended to upward, the opposite was true for the
others. Also, fish was the least popular food during the period in question.
At the start of the period, the figure for beef consumption was the highest, at roughly 220
grams compared to 150 grams of that for lamb consumption. Since then, after fluctuations, a
downward shift was seen between 1994 and 2004 in the number of how much beef and lamb
were eaten, to practically 100 grams and 60 grams respectively.
In terms of chicken consumption, its figure stood at just under 150 grams, which was under
three times as higher as that of fish consumption in 1979. Thereafter, there was a steady
increase in the number of the former, finishing the period shown at virtually 250 grams while
the figure for the latter remained mostly tactic at 50 grams.
