Welcome back to “Simple Cook” – a quick tip show every morning. Today it’s about how to fry
an egg! First, heat butter in the pan over medium-high heat until hot. Next, break eggs and slip
into pan, and immediately reduce heat to low. Finally, cook slowly until whites are completely
set and yolks begin to thicken but are not hard.

A: Excuse me, could you tell me how I can get to the War Remnants Museum?

B: Oh. It is on the corner of Christopher Street and King Street, right across from the
Independence Palace. Just take number 7 bus from here, and it only takes you about 15
minutes.

A: Thank you very much for your help.

B: You’re welcome.

A: Good morning! I’m interested in an English course at your center, Master of Arts in Applied
Linguistics, and I want to know further information about it.
B: What would you like to know, sir?
A: Well, could you tell me what the course structure is?
B: The course structure? Well, the program is delivered in English containing four study periods
which totals 215 credits, and lasts for a maximum of 18 months. Um… You will have four face-
to-face workshops with lecturers from Australia conducting the workshops at our center, and
you will be provided with online tutorial support throughout the study period.
A: Wow, that sounds good. Do you mind telling me the tuition fee which I hope is not too
expensive?
B: The total cost is 6330 USD, not including books and lunch but including two tea breaks; one
is in the morning and the other is in the afternoon.
A: Tea breaks? Sounds great! Anything special about the requirements?
B: Wait a minute! This is the brochure of the program from which you can look into more
details. But basically, you are required to have a bachelor’s degree in English language or in
education or equivalents, along with an IELTS Academic overall score of 6.5 or equivalents, with
a minimum of 6.0 on all bands.
A: Um…let see … I will read this later, but I think I will have to take the IELTS test soon to apply
for the program.
B: You will also see the application procedures as well as documents required in the brochure. If
you have any more questions, please ask, or you can call us at 123456789. We will give you
advice and instructions for your applications.
A: Thanks very much. I will definitely come back for them.
B: Thank you, hope to see you in the next course.
