GENERAL INFORMATION
Application
A factory designed generator set equipped with a standard AC/DC generator control panel. The
generator set is ready to be connected to your fuel and power line to start up once the installation
completed.

The MCCB box mounts at the end of alternator and the terminal box completed with a 3-phase and
neutral busbars ready for power cables connection.

Applicable Standard
Generator sets design, assembly and testing meet or exceed many international standards, such as
IEC 34-1, IEC 34-5, IEC 34-6, JEC 114, JEC 139 and JEC 146. The power rating is set in
accordance with ISO 8528, ISO 3046-1, DIN 6271 and BS 5514.

Structure Outline
The generator set has selected materials and equipment of high performance, which are durable
and anti-vibration. The assembly work meets the quality control system.

The concept of the design and manufacturing is for easy operation and maintenance, to be compact
and light weight too.

The single bearing alternator frame is coupled to the engine housing directly. With one end of the
rotor is supported by bearing and the other end of rotor shaft is connected to the engine flywheel
with a steel laminate plates.

All components and necessary equipment are mounted on the common skid base.

Rubber Isolator Mounting

The rubber isolators are mounted between engine, alternator and its common skid base.

GENERATOR CONTROL PANEL

EGS Generator Sets have a compact and intelligent generator control
module, which is one box type for easy operation and maintenance.

This control module minimizes the required control components and

wiring inside the panel. This will certainly simplify its maintenance.

The clear icon based language free can identify the engine status more
directly and to be easily recognized.

This panel provides indication of operational status and fault condition. It automatically shutting down the
generator set, indicating failures by means of a LCD display and providing audible alarm when fault occurred.

This panel equips with a built-in Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) function, which capable of monitoring the 3-
phase voltages and frequency of mains supply. It will automatically start the standby generator set when failure
happened.

SAFETY PROTECTIONS
HEAVY The engine cannot be started after 3 attempts.
ALARM Fail To Start The total time taken is 37 sec for the whole cranking process.
When this happened, the LCD will light up and the audible alarm will turn on.
(SHUTDOWN)
The engine oil pressure falls below the pre-set value, 0.5 bar.
Low Oil
When this happened, the LCD will light up, the audible alarm will turn on and the
Pressure engine will shutdown.
The engine water temperature exceeds the pre-set value, 101°C.
High Water
When this happened, the LCD will light up, the audible alarm will turn on and the
Temperature engine will shutdown.
The engine speed falls below / exceeds the pre-set value, 85% / 115% of rated
Under /Over
speed. When this happened, the LCD will light up, the audible alarm will turn on
Speed and the engine will shutdown.
Generator The generator voltage falls below / exceeds the pre-set value, 90% / 110% of rated
Low /High voltage. When this happened, the LCD will light up, the audible alarm will turn on
Voltage and the engine will shutdown.
Generator The generator frequency falls below / exceeds the pre-set value, 85% / 115% of
Low /High rated frequency. When this happened, the LCD will light up, the audible alarm will
Frequency turn on and the engine will shutdown.
Generator The loading current exceeds the pre-set value, 100% of prime current (IDMTL
Over Load curve). When this happened, the LCD will light up, the audible alarm will turn on
/Current and the engine will shutdown.
Emergency Once the pushbutton was pressed, the engine will stop immediately.
Stop
LIGHT When the LCD lit up, this indicates that the charging alternator is not working.
Charge Fail The audible alarm will turn on but no shutdown.
ALARM
(WARNING) When the LCD lit up, this indicates that the battery voltage falls below / exceeds
