• CHANNELS HAVE GAINED VITAL IMPORTANCE IN THE LOCOMOTION OF GOODS FROM PRODUCERS
TO CONSUMERS. SO MUCH SO, THAT THERE ARE COMPANIES WHICH PROVIDE CHANNELLING
SOLUTIONS TO VARIOUS ORGANISATIONS TO COMBAT THE ATTENTION OF THE CONSUMER.

• SINCE OUR PROJECT WOULD BE CONCENTRATED UPON PRODUCT SELLING, OUR AIM SHOULD BE
SEARCHING FOR COMPANIES WHICH PROVIDE SALES, DELIVERY AND SERVICE CHANNELS.
• AS MARKETERS, THE DILEMMA IS TO FIND A COMPANY WHICH WILL PERFORM THE CHANNELLING
FUNCTIONS, NOT WHAT FUNCTIONS NEED TO BE PERFORMED.

• Today, hospital chains like Apollo, soft drink companies like Pepsi and Coca-cola, Petroleum
companies like erstwhile government controlled BPCL employ different channelling strategies
to gain the attention of customer.
• With the advent of digital platforms, many companies offering digital channels have come up
which exploit accuracy of a technological platform to optimize the supply chain.
• The process of studying the companies would succeed the segmentation, targeting and
positioning of critical industrial areas.
• More concentrated study would be done on online and offline retailers like Future Retail,
Amazon, Flipkart because they act as an important channel for the promotion in the supply
chain.
HOW DATA COLLECTION WILL BE DONE

The main methods of collecting data would be from the internet. Apart from that, these
methods would prove useful for collection of critical data:
• Interviews
• Questionnaires and surveys
• Observations
• Documents and records
• Focus groups
• Oral histories
