A relationship fueled with passion is what started my parent’s journey. My Mother (Carla B.
Arpon) was born on November, 4, 1969 as the healthy daughter of Rizal A. Bonoan and Florenda G.
Bonoan. She grew up in Bangui, Ilocos Norte – a 4th class municipality in the middle of Burgos and
Dumalneg. My father (Eduardo F. Arpon II) was born on November, 11, 1972 as the healthy son of
Eduardo M. Arpon and Lourdes F. Arpon. He was raised in Quezon City and had 2 sisters. We now move
on to one of my role models, Edward Carlo B. Arpon. He was born on October, 24, 1992 and was raised
in Bangui, Ilocos Norte by our grandparents; he lived there until he finished his High School education.
After 10 (Ten) lengthy years, my parents received a new wonderful present which was me. I was a
healthy baby boy on September/9/2001 and a lucky one at that for mom’s fallopian tubes were
apparently wrapped around my neck, almost strangling me. I was 3.3 Kilograms and was named Lorenz
Anthony (From the saints).

I advanced to kindergarten because apparently I was too advanced for nursery, I could have accelerated
to preparatory but I did not want to rush my education so I enrolled in kindergarten at St. Anthony De
Padua Learning Center. Then for my 1 st grade and 2nd grade, I enrolled in Ridge School but I eventully
transferred to Bresee Nazarene School (Also known as Bresee Hope Academy). I was a consistent honor
student throughout my young life, I was well known for my English communication skills at a very young
age which I picked up from being quite fond of young children’s shows such as Hi-5 and Barney. I
graduated as 4th honor in my elementary class. By the time high school rolled around, I took an entrance
exam at Don Alejandro Roces Sr. Science – Technology High School and thankfully passed both the exam
and interview. I spent the next 6 (Six) years of my life at this lovely school, and I learned a lot from my
time there. I took up Electronic Parts and Services as my specialization as DARSSTHS is that type of
school, even when I moved up to senior high school I still took up Electronic Parts and Services because
it was my passion and I was taught a lot of useful fixes for anything involving electronics and such. I
graduated my senior high school education with a general weighted average of 91% and I could not be
more thankful to God and all the people that supported me throughout the journey.

Since DARSSTHS is a public vocational high school, I was also able to get some work experience from my
time as an On-The-Job Trainee. We spent 2 (Two) weeks working at Shehannlee Electronics and it was a
tremendous experience. Finally putting all my knowledge to work is a very rewarding and satisfying
feeling. That was the first time in my life that I have gotten a taste for how life is when working on a job.
Because of this experience, we were qualified to take up the NCII for EPAS and I thankfully passed but
we are still waiting on the certificate as it was delayed due to the pandemic.

Life is an experience unlike any other, an irreplaceable adventure as I call it. Life is a challenge, full of
obstacles you can barely even conquer, but once you do the rewards are endless. Not all is perfect,
nothing is perfect, but it is these imperfections and hardships which shape us to be better. As a person
who is overweight, I am constantly at odds with my health and well-being; praise the heavens that I
have not gone to anything overly serious but my body is not exactly the greatest example of being fit.
Despite being someone who was bullied for being the big boy with glasses, I continue to strive in order
to prove that I am more than what I look and that I can transform my figure into one that is healthier.
My parents are getting old and my father is the only one with work; I want to ease their burden and give
back as much as possible and as soon as possible. I may not be the most talented nor the most
attractive. I have flaws and make mistakes because I am human, to err is human, to have emotions is
human, to believe and have faith is human. Even if the whole world was against me, as long as I have
God’s guidance and the undying support of those I keep close to me; then I can take on anything.

To dream is such a mundane thing to do but it is what keeps us what we are: humans. We hope for
more, we aim higher, we dream bigger, because that is what pushes us all to do better. I want to go
travel all over the world (Expensive I know but you only live once), I want to have a family. I want to get
fit. I want to be successful in my job. I want to be a volunteer for those in need. I want to be a blood
donor. I want to find long lasting happiness. I want to innovate. I want to be the kindest person that I
can be. I want to be known as victorious in life but the approval of family and friends are enough to
make me content that I did a good job. As long as I have a steady income and can put food on the table,
I’d consider that the perfect career. A simple but meaningful life is priceless.
