Math In The “Real World” Project

Why should you learn math?

Are you ever going to really use what you learn in fifth grade math?
It is now your job to find out!

Your graded assignment is to interview an adult and find out how they use math
in their daily lives and in their jobs. This adult must be someone you know and trust. It
could be a family member, a friend’s parent, or a family friend. You will organize your
project into a poster that you will present to the class and will be displayed in the hallway
for all to see!
