How to Update BIOS for Jaguarboard

BIOS link: http://www.jaguarboard.org/downloads/UEFI.zip

Since hardware version 1.4.1, we changed eMMC chip from version 5.0 to 5.1, the old BIOS is
NOT working, then we update NEW bios platform from Aptio to Insyde.

You can NOT change bios between 2 platforms, I mean from Aptio to Insyde OR vice versa.
But you can update BIOS on the same platform.

Aptio BIOS

Insyde BIOS
First of all, you need to unzip the UEFI.zip file and copy all files into a USB thumb drive with Fat32
format.

Then follow the steps below to update BIOS.

Aptio BIOS:
1. Power on and press ESC or DEL key to enter BIOS setup utility.
Go to [Boot] menu and choose as first boot option,
then press F4 to save changes and reboot, you will enter the EFI shell console.

2. Enter following commands to enter bios directory:

Notice:
[fs1: ]Enter the second FAT32 partition. Normally [fs0:] will enter the EFI partition of internal
16GB eMMC flash drive, if eMMC is empty, then you should try [fs0:] to enter USB drive.
3. Update BIOS
Under X64 shell: fpt64.efi -f w32.bin
Under X86 shell: fpt.efi -f a64.bin

Insyde BIOS:
1. Power on and press ESC or DEL key to enter BIOS setup utility.
Choose [Boot From File]--- USB drive  shell-x64.efi,
then you entered the EFI shell console.

2. Enter USB thumb drive and enter bios directory;


3. Update BIOS
Under X64 shell: H2OFFT-Sx64.efi 1116_IA32.bin /all
Under X86 shell: H2OFFT-S.efi 1116_X64.bin /all

Warning:
Update BIOS from Aptio to Insyde is impossible, the steps will be failed;
Update BIOS from Insyde to Aptio is possible, no errors will be reported during the steps.
BUT the Aptio is not working stable in NEW version of Jaguarboard since Ver 1.4.1, there are
many unexpected issues! And Once you update BIOS from Insyde to Aptio, there is no way to
flash it back to Insyde again, then you have to send the jaguarboard back to CHINA for repair.
