A long time ago, there was a great king who ruled Granada kingdom. He really wanted to look for the best
woman to become his wife. Then, a barber suggested a brilliant idea. He told the King that he had a magic
mirror which could reflect the real side of a person. If the woman who looked into the mirror was not a
good person, there would be many spots on mirror surface.
After following days, the King decided to use the barber’s idea. It was then announced to all women in his
kingdom. Although almost all women wanted to be the Queen, no woman was brave enough to look into
the mirror. It made the King frustrated and almost gave up. The barber did not want to disappoint the
King, so he tried to find the solution. One day, he remembered that there was a shepherdess who was
known as a brave woman. Then, the King asked him to invite that woman to the kingdom hall.
Next day, the shepherdess arrived at the kingdom. There were many people surrounding her. When she
looked into the mirror, she started to answer the questions. However, she wasn’t even afraid of that
magical mirror. Her reflection was also clear without spots on mirror surface. It led other women to
misunderstand that it was just a trick. They assumed that the mirror was only an ordinary mirror.
The King tried to calm all people. He claimed that there was no trick. He really intended to find the true
Queen for ruling the kingdom with him. Finally, he announced that he wanted to marry the shepherdess
who had great characteristics. After getting married, they lived happily ever after.
