Csir answer key is

How is this possible sir?

Probable explanation
In molecular spectroscopy, the rule of mutual exclusion states that no normal
modes can be both InfraRed and Raman active in a molecule that possesses a centre
of symmetry.
But in question one ir-raman line present in the molecule and in the answer key is 2……how ?
Since B-A-B molecule possess centre of symmetry.
One example as co2 molecule
But in the question total 3 fundamental modes of vibration.so, for non linear molecule (3n-6) i.e (3*3-
6)=3.so answer should be non linear AB2 molecule.
Either option 3 or 4.
Now, for H2O molecule………..

But in the question such ir and raman line is not present…

So,according to me the answer should be nonlinear B-B-A .i.e option three(3)

Probable explanation.
Ni+2 possess 2 unpaird electrons .i.e even no of unpair electron .so, in the
presence of zero field splitting two peaks are observed.i.e from m s -1 to 0 and ms
0 to +1 . as shown in the following figure

So according to me, answer should be 2.
