NB. Shingles caused by varicella-zoster virus VZV= herpes zoster, treated by
acyclovir, valciclovir and famciclovir(should start within 72 hrs).

Cefipime is 4th generation and resistant to beta lactamases. Cephalosporin are a type
of beta lactam antibiotics closely relared to penicillins.. Beta-lactamases  produced by
bacteria, that provide multi-resistance to β-lactam antibiotics such as penicillins,
cephalosporins, cephamycins, and carbapenems (ertapenem), although carbapenems
are relatively resistant to beta-lactamase.
