To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to attest to the unique character, intelligence and creativity of Amelia Corner. As
her Advanced Placement Literature instructor and musical choreographer, I have had the
pleasure of teaching as well as having extended intellectual discourse with Amelia.

Amelia is exceptional when compared to others in her cohort. She displays creativity, intellect,
and a passion for social activism beyond her years. As she applies these traits in her literary and
other humanities studies, it is no surprise that she has produced superb work in English.

There have been many times that she stayed after class to continue our academic discourse
because she was passionate about how the topic might affect lives today. She takes criticism with
grace, and contributes to intellectual discourse with adults better than most students of her age.
Much of the time, she initiates the conversation for the sake of exploring new ideas and
solutions. She will most definitely be a life-long learner and a “mover and shaker” with these
traits.

Moreover, Amelia contributes to the community both artistically and as a leader. She has been a
part of the high school theatre program for years, a member of National Honor Society, a
volunteer for a special education summer program called Camp Confidence, and a LEDA
Scholar among other honors. Amelia also has many stories to tell as a relatively well-read and
traveled youth.

I can confidently say that anyone who works with this brilliant young woman will find him or
herself in outstanding company, and I am positive that Amelia will make a valuable contribution
to her future community and cohort.
