Assignment Brief and Guidance
Scenario

East Sussex Networks are an expanding small business taking on a number of new
businesses. You are a Network Engineer assigned to managing the internal network system
for a new business.

The business is based over 1 floor with 5 separate rooms. 1 for the CEO, 2 for the other
directors, 1 for the rest of the staff and a meeting room.

The business has 10 staff members, including the directors. Each staff member will have
their own computer, but the meeting room computer can be used by any staff member.

The CEO of the new business has asked you to produce a report that outlines:
1. The different network types and standards
2. Different network topologies. Including a recommendation for the business.
3. Network protocols that need to be used.
4. Networking devices that need to be included.
5. Workstation hardware that will be needed.
6. Recommend a server and the services (protocols) that suit this business
