On behalf of the 2019 Selwyn Snowball
Committee, we are delighted to welcome you to
this year’s edition, “Planetarium”. For months,
the committee has been working tirelessly to
host the most spectacular winter ball Cambridge
has ever seen, and we hope we do not
disappoint. From our incredible music line-up to
our delectable food and drinks, we are sure that
tonight’s ball will be one to remember.

 I NFORMATION
For your safety, please follow these guidelines. If you
have a query, please approach a Committee member,
who can be identified by their sash.

Fire
In the event of a fire, please observe the instructions
of the committee and the fire stewards, who will direct
you to safety. All guests should assemble on Old Court
Lawn and await further instructions.

Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas except for the
smoking area, located in Kicthen Yard (indicated by
on the map). Smoking is prohibited anywhere else.

Medical Care
If medical attention is required, a member of the Com-
mittee or the College staff should be alerted immedi-
atley. For first aid, St John Ambulance is located at B
staricase, indictaed by on the map.

Disclaimer
Any guest found without a wristband will be ejected
from the ball. The Committee may choose to take further
action against gate-crashers. The Committee reserves
the right to eject any individuals who is acting illegally or
to the detriment of other guests.

Fitz Swing | 21:00 - 22:00
Fitz Swing Band is One of Cambridge’s classiest Big Bands,
opening the evening with a range of classic swing, jazz
standards and contemporary tunes.

SAFFRA | 22:15 - 23:15

Cambridge 4-piece SAFFRA blend their favourite pop and
R&B influences with the sounds of jazz and neo-soul. Blending
inspiration from Moonchild, Blue Lab Beats, Yussef Kamaal,
old school hip hop and contemporary dance music, SAFFRA’s
versatile approach to music combines technicality with a love
for fun, danceable grooves.

S Club 3 | 23:30 - 00:15

S Club 3 are a spin-off of the hit band S Club 7, featuring
Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, and Tina Barrett. Bringing you
all of your favourite S Club hits, you won’t be able to stop
movin’ to that funky funky beat!

ABBA Express | 00:30 - 02:00

ABBA Express are one of the UK’s leading tribute bands to your
Swedish pop stars! With all of your favourite ABBA tunes, you’ll
be the dancing queen listening to them!

Milo West | 02:15 - 03:00

Milo West, your Snowball Co-President, takes over the reins for
the final 45 minutes as he spins some sweltering anthems from
throughout the ages. Get set for the Presidential takeover!

Selwyn Jazz | 20:30 - 21:30
Selwyn Jazz are one of Cambridge University’s leading Big
Bands. Playing an incredible range of repertoire,
encompassing many styles of music - from jazz standards to
hard-core funk, laid-back swing to fast Latin; there will be
something to suit all tastes.

Soft Crunchy Landing | 21:45 - 22:45

Soft Crunchy Landing are a 10-piece soul and funk band,
bringing everything from groovy arrangements of funk classics
to out and out bangers. The mix of infectious groove and
outrageous solos will surely get you dancing!

Jazz Catz | 23:00 - 0:00

Jazz Catz are a big name on the Cambridge jazz scene, known
for a diverse range of music including pop tracks for big band,
dance-along funk music, jazz classics and everything else in
between.

Colonel Spanky’s Love Ensemble | 00:15 - 01:15

Expect something brand-spanking new! The Love Ensemble
are a brassy funk and pop band with an outlandish name,
comprising ten of Cambridge University’s premier
funk-mongers.

Dragtime | 01:30-02:15
Dragtime is a touring drag troupe based in Cambridge, whose
repertoire ranges from theatre shows, to club nights, to college
balls and more! If you’re after something new and exciting,
besure to catch their 45-minute variety set!

Cambridge’s guilty pleasure, silent disco,
will be at the dance stage from midnight
until 3am! Featuring three channels –
cheesy hits, classic anthems, and techno
stompers – there’s something for
everyone to enjoy!

The King’s Men | 20:00 - 20:20
The King’s Men is a close-harmony group formed from the Choral
Scholars of the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge.

Fitz Sirens | 20:30 - 20:50

The Fitz Sirens are Cambridge’s oldest all-female a cappella
group - serving you sass, smooth jazz and sultry pop classics!

Fitz Barbershop | 21:00 - 21:20

Fitz Barbershop are an all-male acapella group based at Fitz, but
with singers selected from all over the university.

Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society | 21:30 - 21:50

Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society will be performing
an array of musical theatre songs from a variety of shows.

Jenny Frost | 22:00 - 22:20

Jenny is a second-year MML student at Selwyn who, when not
conjugating Italian verbs, can usually be found singing in choirs
or operas.

Kitty & Paddy | 22:30 - 22:50

Kitty and Paddy will perform some chill classics for you to relax to!

Matthew Cavallini | 23:00 - 23:20

Matthew will be performing a mixture of covers, original songs,
and Christmas classics.

Edmund Wilson | 23:30 - 23:50

Tonight, Edmund will create a rich soundscape created using just
his voice, guitar, and loop pedal!
