Functional Area 3:Learing

I know how important it is to provide a childcare environment that promotes learning because
children are different and should always get to learn together and equal to everyone. The
reason why is because every student is very different in how they learn and how they
communicate. This is why it is our job to help young children learn in different ways. To make
sure my environment supports is healthy for the children in my care I do the following things: I
would help out any child who is confused in instructions and I will make sure to do the right
activities with the right age groups, I will also make sure that nobody will be judge in no matter
what situation I will also make sure and check if any child needs help or if they’re stuck in
anything and help them out in what they need help on.

CS1A: The sample menu in my resource collection shows my commitment to children’s

nutritional needs by having multigrain cereal and not sugary cereal which could be bad for the
children. Also, natural fruit juices would be nice for the children since fruits are already sweet.
Another thing is I would also add milk to make children’s bones stronger and it is also healthy
for them. Gramcrackers are also a good little snack for them and gummies with little sugar
would be great.

CS1B: The room where my verification visit observation will occur reflects the way I believe
young children learn best in the following ways: By having rules in the walls for the children to
look at when they walk in and another set of rules to practice to remember them. Another thing
is to have a very colorful classroom decorated So the classroom won’t look sad and not a
happy place because it should be a very happy place for children and should be a very exciting
room to look at and it would make children want to come and learn new exciting things. A theme
is also really exciting because children like seeing animal pictures or colorful rainbows as the
theme or whatever is your choice.

CS1C: The weekly plan in my resource collection reflects my philosophy on what children need
weekly in the following ways: Pinterest is the best idea app ever it has every activity for kids of
all ages. I love activities that children get to do activities with paint because they get to touch the
paint and create anything they want to. They can also talk about their paintings and they choose
any glitter and stuff to add to their little portrait. I also like to include activities that involve
children touching because they get so fascinated and at the end, they get to talk about it with
the other children.
