Part 2:  Successes and Challenges

Two Successes:
1. The website pages, headings, and annotations are organized and are in chronological order.
This allows users to easily navigate the website and find specific information that they may be
looking for.
2. The annotations persuade the reader that the issue at hand is serious. The website further does
this with the use of homelessness imagery. The website is relevant, balanced, and timely.
Two Challenges:
1.. The design in the introduction page needs to be more conventional in the categories section.
There are two chunks of white space below and above this section and it is not reader friendly.
We recommend putting the categories section closer to the introduction and the author’s section.
2. The graph on the site is not reader friendly. We recommend using a larger font so that the data
is easier to read.

Part 2:  Successes and Challenges

Two Successes:

1.  We found the summary sentences below each page title to be very straightforward and
to the point. We think this is a big success because it helps the audience understand
and prepare for each section without having to read the entire page. If the reader finds
that first sentence to be intriguing then, they will most likely continue reading and further
investigate the sources.
2.  Looking at the illustrations provided, we thought they were very informative and
provided critical information related to the topic. We especially liked the graphic on the
page titled “Testing the quality of water” where it described the biological stable water
production and the water distribution in controlled conditions. It clearly conveyed the
process of getting water from the source to where it is finally used in homes.

Two Challenges:

1. One aspect of the website that we found to be a challenge was trying to scroll down
each page and looking at each of your bibliographies. At first we liked how the articles
were included as a whole document in the website, but it was a little distracting when
trying to read the ABs all the way through. We thought it would be better if the links to
the articles were embedded as links to specific words on the website. For this reason,
we had “developing” for SLO 4.
2.  While reading the weebly website, we noticed that some citations are different from
each other. On the page “Testing the quality water” the  first article citation has the year
in parentheses, while on the page titled “The Flint Water Crisis” the first citation does not
have the year in parentheses. For this reason we highlighted “Proficient” for SLO 2. We
also wanted to mention that there is a typo on the last sentence of the introduction page,
it reads "...do not have health insurance to get treatment from any afflictions…”

Successes:

SLO 6 The citations are consistent and accurate between all the collaborators. All the annotated
bibliographies follow the prompt's requirements—especially those on the  "Effects of COVID-19
on teenagers' mental health" page. Each bibliography explained the central message of the
source.

SLO 3 The images chosen for each topic are relevant to each source on the page. All the
images are persuasive and connect to the web page's purpose.
Challenges:

SLO 5  The color is overwhelming and distracts from the text. It may be difficult for some
viewers to read the home page with dark orange and gray letters. Similarly, The tab called
"Effects of COVID-19 on teenagers' mental health" is hard to read over the photographs.

SLO 4 The format of the tab pages is cluttered and hard to navigate. Is there a specific order the
page tabs are related?
