Quick Start Guide for

ORACLE
Sales Cloud
Welcome to Oracle Sales Cloud! This Quick
Start Guide will show you some of the key
features of the Oracle Sales Cloud experience
and help you quickly be up and running.
Getting Started with Oracle Sales Cloud
Oracle Sales Cloud is designed with Sales Reps like you in mind. You
don’t need training to begin. This quick guide offers a few tips to help
you jump right in and make the most of the application.
Use the homepage to get important news and navigate throughout
the application.

Accounts and Contacts
Need a quick update before your next meeting? Get the information
you need directly from the accounts and contacts pages. See which
assets the account or contact owns, which products they may want
to buy, and which deals are in progress.

Opportunities
Get a clear view of your opportunities, with flexible lists and analytics.
Sort your opportunities by any column, like win rate or potential
revenue, to focus on the opportunities that need your attention.
Analytics allow you to see a snapshot of all open opportunities.
Managing your opportunity pipeline just got easier.

Forecasts
Increase your forecast accuracy with analytics that show your
forecast trends and comparisons to your pipeline. Then, make
necessary updates directly from the forecast details view.

Analytics
Do you know the total amount of revenue you won and lost last
quarter? What about the quarter before that? Understanding trends
and identifying opportunities just got easier. The report center offers
one place where you can see the reports that matter to you.

Sharing information with
your sales team can be
difficult, especially when
you’re all over the world.
Oracle Social Network
gives you the tools you
need to collaborate with
your team and share
documents.

Campaigns
Email campaigns allow
you to communicate the
value of your products
and generate new leads.
With Oracle Sales Cloud,
you can create new
campaigns and track
campaign responses with
ease.

Leads
Oracle Sales Cloud
guides you through the
lead qualification and
conversion process, then
links the converted lead
to the new opportunity,
so the work you and
others did during the
qualification process isn’t
lost.

Create a New Account
1. Click the Accounts icon.
2. Click the Create Account button.
3. Add the account name and other details.
Note: Customers are accounts with whom you already have products sold.
Note: Click the Verify Address button to view or accept address changes.
4. Save your new account record.
Note: Click the Save and Continue button to fill in more information about this account.

Add a Contact to an Account


1. Open the Account record.
2. Click the Contacts tab.
3. Click the Add Contacts button.
4. Select an existing contact or add a new contact by clicking the Create
Contact button.
Note: Oracle Sales Cloud will check the name, phone and email address fields for a
contact and will alert you of possible duplicates. You can then select the correct record to
prevent duplication, or you can continure creating the new record.

Create a New Lead


1. Open the Account record.
2. Click the Leads tab.
3. Click the Create Lead button.
4. Add a few details and save your changes.

Update, Rank, and Qualify an Existing Lead


1. Click the Leads icon.
2. Use the Find field to search for the record and then open the lead record.
3. Add lead details like products.
4. Click the Qualification tab and answer the questionnaire.
5. Click to return to the Summary tab.
6. Select the appropriate value in the Rank field.
7. Select Qualify from the Actions menu.

Convert a Lead
1. Open the Lead record.
2. Select Convert to Opportunity from the Actions menu.
Note: The lead will be converted to an Opportunity with the same name. You can Search
to find the Opportunity, or navigate to the My Converted Leads list by clicking the number
at the bottom of the Leads list page.
3. Click the Save and Close button.

Create a New Opportunity


1. Open the Account record.
2. Click the Opportunities tab.
3. Click the Create Opportunity button.
4. Add opportunity details, including name and close date and then save your
changes.
Note: Click Save and Continue to add additional opportunity details like products.

Collaborate about an Opportunity


1. Open the Opportunity record.
2. Click the Conversations tab.
3. Click to access an existing conversation or create a new conversation.
4. Click to view messages or post a message on the conversation.
