T1 Monitoring Maintenance
T1.1.1 Querying the Board Status
Purpose To verify that the board is in the normal state
Prerequisites 1. The two SRCU clock boards or two SOCU clock boards (an active one and a
standby one) are configured in the SYNLOCK V3 and function properly.
2. A normal LCIM board and its neighboring LCIM board are configured in the
active/standby mode.
3. A TSOU functions properly with another TSOU board standby for it in the 1:1
protection mode.
4. Configure two TODI boards in slots 3 and 4 in the master subrack of the
SYNLOCK V3.
5. An extension subrack exists in the SYNLOCK V3 and is connected to the master
subrack properly using signal cables. Two TDRV boards are configured in the
extension subrack and function properly. The SYNLOCK V3 maintenance
terminal is configured with TDRV boards.
Procedure 1. Double-click Monitoring Maintenance in the O&M navigation tree to display the
Select NE dialog box.
2. Select an NE and click OK to display the Monitoring Maintenance – Board
Monitoring window.
3. Right-click SOCU/SRCU and choose Active/Standby Swapping.
4. Right-click LCIM and choose Switch Board.
5. Right-click TSOU and choose Switch Board.
6. Right-click TODI and choose Switch Board.
7. Right-click TDRV and choose Switch Board.
Expected result The original active board is switched to the standby mode, and the original standby
board is switched to the active mode.
Remarks 1. During the test, the switchover is performed according to actual active/standby
board configurations in the SYNLOCK V3 subrack. For example, when only one
TODI board (or no TDRV board) is configured, the switchover does not need to be
performed for the TODI board (or the TDRV board).
2. The active/standby switchover can be performed on two LCIM boards only when
Output mode is set to INPUT and Board active/standby is set to BACKUP.

Prerequisites 1. The LCIM and TSOU boards are configured in the SYNLOCK V3.
2. The LCIM boards are configured as the input boards and work in the Backup
mode.
3. The tested output channel of the TSOU board is connected to the input port of the
LCIM board using clock cables.
4. The tested channel on the TSOU board is set to the E1 type, which is the same as
the type of the corresponding channel on the LCIM board. No LCIM board is
configured as the clock source.
5. The system parameter REF signal selection is set as the system output
(CSCLKOUT).
Procedure 1. Double-click Monitoring Maintenance in the O&M navigation tree to display the
Select NE dialog box.
2. Select an NE and click OK to display the Monitoring Maintenance – Board
Monitoring window.
3. Right-click an LCIM board, choose Query Channel Status to check whether the
channel is normal, choose Specify The Channel For Another Test to configure
the test channel, and choose Query Channel Test Status to check whether the
configuration is successful.
4. After 30 minutes, double-click TIE Query under Performance Management in
the O&M navigation tree to query the time interval error (TIE) curve of the
channel on the LCIM board.
Expected results The TSOU output is within the normal range. During the test, the TIE curve has no
transient exceeding 50 ns, and the maximum time interval error (MTIE) and time
deviation (TDEV) curves do not exceed the threshold.

Remarks The default values of the sent Sync and Announce packet numbers can be queried from
the PTP Port Config.

Procedure 1. Double-click Data configuration in the O&M navigation tree to display the Select
NE dialog box.
2. Select an NE and click OK to display the Data configuration window.
3. Add a board (not in position) offline as follows: Right-click a selected board slot
and add a board, and click OK when a confirmation prompt is displayed. Ensure
that the added board is displayed in the slot.
4. Check the status of the alarm indicator and buzzer on the chassis. Then check
alarm information as follows: Double-click Alarm in the O&M navigation tree. In
the Alarm Management window that is displayed, select an NE in the left pane,
and click the Current Alarm tab in the right pane to display the Current Alarm
interface. Right-click in the blank area in the right pane, and then choose New
Query to query current alarms of the NE.
5. Delete the board as follows: In the Data configuration window, right-click the
added board and delete the board, and click OK when a deletion prompt is
displayed.
6. Repeat step 4 to query current alarms of the NE.
Expected results 1. When a board is added offline, the buzzer on the chassis makes a buzzing sound,
the alarm indicator (red) blinks, and a board-not-in-position alarm is displayed on
the maintenance terminal.
2. After the board is deleted, the buzzing sound stops, the alarm indicator is off, and a
message is displayed on the maintenance terminal indicating that the board-not-in-
position alarm is cleared.

T2.1.1 TIE Query
Purpose To verify the TIE time curve
Remarks 1. Choose Data configuration > Configure SRCU, and set Test satellite signal 1/
Test satellite signal 2 to Y.
2. Choose Monitoring maintenance > Set the System Time from the main menu,
and set the system time to be the same as the current time.
3. TIE data can be queried after the frequency source (GPS) has been traced for more
than 30 minutes.
