Dear Sir or Madam:

In my Research Paper, I hope to answer the question: How will artificial intelligence, or A.I., disrupt the job
market? I am interested in researching how the increase in use of A.I. will impact the amount of jobs available for
humans as A.I. becomes better at critical thinking. A.I. involves programming, which is covered in computer
science, and computer engineering and mathematics is needed to build the computer hardware, which is why
those academic subjects are involved and listed above. Also, English will be used to read articles/books.

The Experiential Project I have chosen is to take an online 30-hour Python course through:
https://www.codecademy.com/learn/learn-python-3. Python is the most popular programming language used to
code for A.I. Using my knowledge from the Code Academy course, I will produce a computer program coded in
Python that will mimic A.I. behavior. The program will give the user suggestions on how to be environmentally
friendly, will give the user suggestions based on the weather that day, and will suggest career paths/jobs. I will
publish the program on https://repl.it/, which is a website where computer programmers can share their code
and learn from other published programs. This project will benefit the community because other programmers
can learn from the program and the program provides the user with helpful information.

This will be challenging for me because I have never researched A.I. nor have I coded anything advanced in
Python. A.I. research has been going on since 1995, which is when the first A.I. program was created. Since then,
there have been many articles written and books published that attempt to speculate what is happening as A.I.
becomes better at completing tasks than humans.

I expect that developing the program will take around 15 hours. With the development of the program and the
Python course, the Experimental project will take about 45 hours. The Python course requires a Pro membership,
which is $39.99 a month. Depending on how long the course takes to complete, this could cost anywhere from
$39.99 to $119.97.
