She has been a pleasure to work with and has become a valued member of the Woodcrest Elementary Schoo! family Ms. Mancilla came on board as a Substitute Teacher to provide extra support in my second and third grade combination class during distance learning, Ms. Mancilla helped establish Zoom norms and procedures with my students to ensure a productive online leaming environment. She administered baseline assessments such as Running Records and the Quick Phonics Screener (QPS) to gather important data that guided our differentiation and development of instruction. She utlized her bilingual skills to uide and support English Language Learners as well as connect and communicate with families during conferences. | was most Impressed by the relationships Ms. Mancilla was able to build with the students in my class. She always has sincere concem for their well being and keeps their best interests at heart ‘When staff and students physically returned to campus in the late fall, Ms. Manilla continued to provide in-person support. She managed and established classroom procedures aligned with covid-19 safety guidelines and protocols, Ms. Mancila demonstrated exceptional multi-tasking skills while managing and co-teaching a combination of online leamers, in-person leamers, and hybrid learners. As a grade level team. member, Ms. Mancilla was cooperative, reliable, and dedicated to providing assistance to others. She demonstrated a great wealth of knowledge and provided creative and innovative strategies for engaging and ‘meeting individual student needs. Not only is she willing and able to share ideas and experiences with others, but she is also willing to grow and learn both from and with her peers.
