EXTENDED RESPONSE
Jordan enjoys motor-racing. He attends the Clipsal 500 where he spends the day watching V8s
whiz around the track at very fast speeds. Upon driving home, Jordan sees flashing lights in his
rear-view mirror. He realises that this means he is being pulled over by the police, which
immediately makes him feel nervous. He is convicted of speeding and driving recklessly. The
policeman issues Jordan a fine of $200 which he will find difficult to pay. The next day, a police
car drives past Jordan’s house and Jordan immediately feels nervous. He finds that any type of
flashing lights also cause this response.
