SUSTAINABILITY

This is institutionally helpful in the aspect that, we, the students of Mindanao State
University-Gensan will create a positive influence to children we will going to teach and
will enhance our skills as future educators in return. This project is a good start for us,
student teachers, for it will be a helpful practice that might create effective teachers who
are products of this institution. Great emphasis has been laid on the teacher educators
to use effective teaching strategies and methods that are suitable to the students for
them to understand and to improve the educational processes. This would be a great
help for them to be interested or having an eagerness in learning new things.
This project will help children to build up their social aspect of life, while
continuously interacting, learning, and collaborating with their fellow children. It will also
improve children’s cultural awareness in the different ethnic groups and cultural diversity
along with their learning. Through effectiveness of this project, the socio-cultural
dimensions of a child will evolve and emerge, the learners ability to grow as individuals
and increase their knowledge base is broadened. The Project BATA Learning Time will
need a little bit of financial support to provide “Merienda” for the kids after every
sessions. We will only spend a little since, most importantly, the running of this project
will still be based on the kids’ enthusiasm to learn (and for as long as their parents
permit). Then to ensure that their enthusiasm will stay intact in all of the sessions, us,
the student educators, will use teaching methods or approaches that’s suitable for our
students.
