‘The Governor has the statutory authority to deciare a Statewide "State of Emergency.” Under that "State of Emergency," the Governor can enact directives that carry the force and effect of law. These directives remain in effect until he rescinds them, legislation is passed that rescinds them, or the Courts rule (Which includes the appellate process) that they are unconstitutional or unlawful Whether | agree with the Governor or not, | have a legal and moral responsibilty to respect the law. Throughout this unprecedented crisis, we continued to promote enforcement through education. We encourage all businesses and all citizens to exercise best safety practices ‘We cannot remove our County from the State Tier System. This Board cannot protect a local business from prosecution by a State agency like Alcohol Beverage Control or CalOSHA. Our Strategic Goals 1. Build a state of the art Correctional & Rehabilitative Center 2. Promote local business revitalization and expansion 3. Increase police presence 4, Address the addiction problem ravaging our community 5. Assist the “at risk" population And these are NOT all the pressing issues facing our County (like wildfire mitigation and removal of illegal marijuana grows) We have a lot of work to do!
