Hello Ryszard, Hello Kathy & Nico!

We're currently drawing the outlines of our project of going to Mexico, that we have talked to you
about.

Our interest is to investigate and share forms of vocal and physical training that focus on the non-
daily, non-social body present in the here and now. We' d like to nourish this research by
encountering festive and ritual traditions where the bodies can be also- for a moment- out of the
daily, crossing social limits. Furthermore, festive elements like costumes, dances, songs, masks...
can transmit an immaterial knowledge beyond that which is intellectually comprehensive and
socially regulated.

In confronting other cultures we hope to also become more conscious of our own cultural context
and influences. Mexico with it's diversity, and it's century long dynamic of mixing cultures appears
to us as a good place for this kind of research.

While discussing our objectives and putting them into words it seemed to us there is quite some
common ground with the multicultural project you propose. To us it would be very interesting to
link our research to this project. Meaning; we would give our research the same thematic direction
and try to focus our exchange around texts and songs related to this theme. Potentially we could
make contacts that could be interesting for your project.

Of course, for the moment, the orientation of our project is not yet precise, depending on the
contacts and adresses we find, but a hypothetical thematic direction could be very useful to us.
Please tell us your opinion on a possible link-up. In any case we're happy to learn more about your
project.
