ICT has gotten fundamental to the teaching-learning process, through such
methodologies as supplanting chalkboards with intelligent advanced whiteboards, utilizing
students’ own smartphones and other devices for learning during class time and the “flipped
classroom” model where students watch lectures at home on the computers or any other
devices and use classroom time for more interactive exercises. As a curricularist, teachers
should practice teaching cross-disciplinary skills in teaching related courses, such as
integrating research methods, articulating technical scientific concepts in verbal, written, and
graphic forms; presenting laboratory reports to a pool of specialists, or use emerging
technologies, software programs and multimedia applications as an extension of an
assigned project. Teachers need to adapt and develop new ways of teaching and learning
that reflect a changing world through integrating ICT in a more responsive and relevant
teaching and learning setting.
2. What is unique with ICT integration in language teaching that must be thoroughly
considered when developing a learning plan?
In our modern technological world, ICT literacy is essential for survival. Teachers
must effectively incorporate ICT into language teaching in order to prepare students to be
literate lifelong learners and global citizens of the 21 st century. ICT is a useful method for
improving teaching and learning. ICT is a technical resource for teachers, serving as a mode
of classroom delivery and a source of legitimate and useful text forms. It allows students to
improve their communication skills and learn literacy skills including essential literacy skills.
It’s a useful tool for researching, writing and reacting as well as displaying and portraying
information in language teaching. Teachers can use technology to create and customize
instructional materials to better meet the needs of individual students. Technology has
encroached on the entire world and we are unable to carry out even our most basic task
without it how much more in the world of teaching and learning. The use of ICTs in today’s
education is leaning toward on integrated pedagogy.

I find it easier to create a meme than writing sentences in regards to literature due to
the fact that I am totally expose to any social media site wherein a meme is very rampant.
Whenever I open any of my social media accounts, I always encounter memes that makes
me laugh, entertain, and enlighten towards positivity in every situation. As an individual who
belongs to the generation of so-called “Gen Z” memes are very common and always have its
way to create and leave an impact to someone’s life. As a matter of fact, in today’s time
memes became more important than those articles popping up in someone’s timeline or
newsfeed. It is not about having less knowledge about literature it is just that I am an
individual who is more into creativity than logical or critical thinking.

a. What does copyright law say about a work, e.g. photo, diagram, chart, or whole
journal article, which does not have the © copyright symbol? How will you include these in
your project presentation?

sources: for each picture, include the title, author, and source. Citations may be described
on a separate slide in a PowerPoint presentation or a video clip. Use photos that add to the
work's content and enhance the paper's or presentation's educational component.
b. Are patchwriting and rephrasing a good remedy to avoid obtaining copyright
permission to an existing work? Why?
Bad paraphrasing is one of the most common errors students make. Even when
paraphrasing, we must reference our source, but we do not use quotation marks if we are
putting the idea into our own terms. Putting an idea into our own words is not the same as
patchwriting, which involves changing a few words here and there. We'll need to restate the
definition and incorporate it into your paper's wording to make our point clear. This entails
reading the source, reflecting on it, and then rewriting the idea in an entirely new way. Since
we’re presenting someone else's ideas as though they were our own, paraphrasing without
crediting the original author is a type of plagiarism. Paraphrasing, on the other hand, is not
plagiarism if the source is properly cited. This entails including an in-text citation as well as a
complete reference in the appropriate citation type. Make sure that every paraphrased text is
entirely rewritten in your own language, in addition to quoting it.
c. What does copyright law say about generally copyright protected work such as a

permission? Why?

copyright. Plagiarism is when you take someone else's ideas and don't give them credit.
When writing a report or making charts and diagrams, always give credit to the original
source of ideas and details.
d. How is copyright infringement related to plagiarism? Explain.
Plagiarism and copyright infringement are two separate but related issues. Ideas are
not covered by copyright. Only the fixed expression of those ideas is protected. An individual
infringes on copyright when he or she copies, distributes, shows, or otherwise uses the work
in an unauthorized manner. Infringement on a copyright is a civil matter. Plagiarism, on the
other hand, occurs when someone passes off someone else's work as their own or fails to
recognize the original source. Plagiarism can be avoided by always giving credit to the
original source when using someone else's ideas or works in your own work. This is an
ethical dilemma that is resolved by university policy and may result in negative
consequences if it is broken, but it is not a legal issue.
e. Are the Filipino covered by the Copyright Laws of other countries? Why?
There is no such thing as a "universal copyright" that protects an author's work all
over the world. In a given country, protection against unauthorized usage is determined by
the country's national laws. The Philippines is a signatory to a number of international
copyright treaties and conventions, and as such, provides copyright protection to foreign
works in accordance with these agreements. Since copyright is a legal construct unique to
each country, there is no such thing as an international copyright law. Despite this, nearly
180 countries have ratified the Berne Convention, which establishes a minimum set of
standards for the protection of the rights of creators of copyrighted works around the world
and is administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

And they also promoted discussion among students and encouraged the use of the Internet
and the Web among students and teachers.

 How do the blogs support language learning?


Educators typically begin with a class blog in which the teacher writes the posts and the
students respond with comments. This allows the teacher to improve their skills while
gradually introducing their students to blogging and informing them of the requirements.
However, as students get older, they are more likely to be asked to contribute to their own
student blog. Because ownership is an important part of blogging, student learning and
writing improves faster when each student has their own blog. When we have a sense of
personal ownership, we all become more motivated. When class blogging is done well,
students are more motivated by their own blogs.
Step 2: List ideas to improve the student sample blogs

 Reflect on your time as a student so far. Let’s face it, you’ve probably been a
student for a while if you include all of your time at school, college and university
(etc). So, therefore, you should write about your personal experiences. Document all
of the life lessons you’ve learnt along the way.
 A day in the life of ‘a student’. Reader’s love ‘day in the life’ posts/videos on
Youtube. Why not share your average day? Things to include: your daily morning
and night routine, things you like to eat and your study/work schedule.
 Share your worries or concerns and how you’ve overcome them. This is a sort
of ‘progress post’ if you will! People like to hear about your worries and concerns,
especially if they are relatable. If you have managed to overcome them, then share
exactly how you did it so that others will benefit from your advice.
 Offers tips for writing a good essay – use an example, you are proud of, to
demonstrate your points. All students need to know how to write a good essay,
whether that be one for science-based subjects or English Literature, etc. Share your
highest scoring essay with your readers; just ensure that it has already been officially
marked. Also, talk about tools that helped you achieved those skills, for example, my
post on Grammarly.
 Create an infographic. Infographics could contain information about anything,
literally ANYTHING; and that is why there are so effective and useful for bloggers.
Write about an aspect of student life and turn it into an interesting and bright
infographic.
 Share the most interesting thing you’ve studied so far. This is the perfect
opportunity to share the most interesting things you’ve studied during your course so
far. It could be controversial, politics or related to current world affairs. Anything you
are interested in, someone else will be too!
