Mid project check-up (After research)
At this point shooting time for my music video is drawing near. I bought a secondary battery for
my camera to replace my current one; this is because it runs out quicker, leaving it less reliable for
long shooting sessions. I have a shooting script and detailed storyboards to go off on top of good
locations. I have my actor (Spillane) and a replacement (J. Baverstock) if required, though that is
highly unlikely. I have run tests on my fake blood and have bought/collected props and costumes.
All of my documents are set to be completed alongside filming just in time for the editing process.
End project review
I faced various problems when shooting and editing. Firstly, I had fears that my old, second-hand
camera battery would quickly die whenever I filmed. To prevent this, I bought a second and brand-
new battery; I charged both whenever I travelled to film. My actor was suffering from a cold when
filming at the beach which made him, understandably, not want to be in the cold seawater for a
prolonged period. To counter this, I filmed the shots that take place in the water last so he wasn’t
soaking wet for the entirety of the shoot. I didn’t film enough footage despite having nearly a
hundred shots on my SD card. I filled in extra gaps through repeating footage and recording new
shots on two different sessions during the editing process. I also layered footage to distract from the
now repeating footage on top of continuing to edit.
