PROPOSAL

Title of Production: ‘Pyramid Song’

Concept: A man struggles with his fears of both aging and the future. This is
shown through his envy towards others and through the imagery of him being
chased by his fears.

Why This Production: I didn’t want to make just another music video; I wanted
it to stand out in some way visually. I chose Radiohead’s ‘Pyramid Song’
because of its mystical, airy vibe that I think would fit the scenes well.

To make the music video stand out visually, I blended two mediums together in
order to connect sections of its story. When the drums kick at around the 2:00
mark, the protagonist will fall into a body of water; when this occurs, the footage
will switch from real-life actors to stop-motion animation depicting the protagonist
underwater and “free” from his struggles.

Deadline: Friday 15th January 2021

Target Audience: 40 – 60 Year Olds

What They Want to See: My targeted audience were interested in the blend of
styles and the story that comes with it.

What I’m Creating (based on research): An immersive, intriguing video that will
captivate all.

Where it Will be Aired: I will promote this music video on Facebook, the social
media that my target audience uses the most.
